LBO Equity Fund Investments
MFC Capital Funding and its affiliates will,
on a very select basis, make limited partner investments in
LBO private equity funds.
These investments will typically be for $1 million
but can be as large as $2.5 million.
We look for opportunities where the private
equity fund is (1) controlled by no less than two principals
that have an established track record of successful realized
returns; (2) invested in businesses that are leaders or have
a niche in its markets with low to medium technology risk;
and (3) have a limited number of financial institutions as
limited partners and is committed to providing multiple senior
loan opportunities to MFC Capital Funding, among others.
We will not typically invest as a limited
partner in a LBO private equity fund where we have not completed
a recent senior transaction.
